A HEADTEACHER has said farewell to a Hereford school after 15 years.
Reg Thomas retired from St Paul’s Primary School in Tupsley and said that he would take with him many special memories.
“I am looking forward to retirement with some trepidation, but at the same time it is a new phase in my life,” he said.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school, but leave with mixed emotions.”
Mr Thomas, aged 62, joined the school from Cradley School in Halesowen.
He added that he now planned to look after his garden and spend time with his family, as well as supporting the Nature Trust.
“It has been a privilege to have worked with so many teachers, governors and families who have been a part of the school,” he said.
“Many people have gone on to become headteachers elsewhere, so it shows that the school has a good track record in helping people go down that path.”
