A NORTH Herefordshire school is jumping for joy after winning a horseriding competition.
About 120 pupils took part in the inter-school showjumping competition at Bromyard Equestrian Centre. Fourteen schools took part in the event, split into novice, intermediate and open level.
Wigmore High School – making only its second appearance – had some expert help to win the novice section.
Harriet Jarman, Grace Owens, George Hodnet and Lucy Robinson had training from British showjumper Karen Bosworth.
The Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School won the intermediate class, while runners-up Hereford Cathedral School triumphed in the open section.
Organisers Lucton School, finished third and second in the novice and open classes.
