HEREFORD primary school children have been learning a range of life skills – from cooking to computer animation – at a week-long workshop.
Around 80 Year 5 and 6 pupils from nearby schools were invited to Aylestone School Business and Enterprise College’s summer school for practical, sporting and academic activities and to learn about healthy lifestyles.
Austin Bailey, of the technology department, said: “As many of the children at the summer school will be coming to Aylestone in the next two years, this has been an invaluable opportunity for them to try some new activities while spending time in the school and meeting staff who will be teaching them.”
