IT was a day few of those lucky enough to be there will forgot... but for those who weren't here is a picture gallery to enjoy.
Without announcement or fanfare the heir to the throne, Prince William, arrived at Hereford Cathedral for a private visit this week.
He came to see the £1million Ascension window dedicated to the SAS regiment.
Although it was a private visit, he made time to meet wellwishers outside the cathedral, and told them: "I can see why you want to live in Hereford. It's so nice down here."
Speculation began to mount about a special visitor to the cathedral on Monday when police sniffer dogs were brought in to check the area.
And when the royal visitor arrived, the Hereford Times was there to report and bring our readers the first pictures.
