POLICE are advising people to take precautions after two thefts from work vans in Hereford over the weekend.
Officers said they are investigating the incidents – the first of which happened in Heywood Avenue between 6pm on Friday, August 18 and 8am on Saturday, August 20 and the second in Audley Crescent between 7pm on Friday, August 19 and 10.30am on Saturday, August 20.
Police are advising people park in well lit areas close to their home where possible and to remove any tools from the vehicle before checking it is securely locked and suitably alarmed.
They are also urging people to enquire about marking tools with products like smartwater which is 'traceable liquid'.
Anyone with information about the thefts should call police on 101.
