A TAKEAWAY van has been given a licence to trade at an industrial estate in Ledbury.
Street trading consent was originally refused for the mobile van at Unit 19, Lower Road Industrial Estate in Ledbury.
But the applicant, Mr Ozer, appealed this decision and Herefordshire Council's licensing committee granted a licence for nine months.
The committee heard he wanted to apply to have a van selling kebabs, burgers, wraps and chips on the forecourt of former Rowley Plastic as he said there were limited takeaway food outlets.
Since his last application he requested the assistance of a licensing consultancy, who have canvassed local residents in a bid to accommodate any concerns that they may have.
The committee said the licence holder will be responsible for keeping the area surrounding it tidy and clean, but also 25 metres in every direction from the location of the site.
They also have to provide CCTV coverage (of evidential facial recognition quality) and recordings must be kept for 28 days. Opening hours will be from 4pm until 10.30pm.
