A SONGS of Praise recording which was due to be held at Hereford Cathedral on Easter Monday will not take place as planned.

Hereford Cathedral has posted a statement on its website.

It said: "Due to changes in programme plans, the BBC has had to postpone its recording of hymns and music for Songs of Praise in Hereford Cathedral on Easter Monday, April 17.

"If you were hoping to attend or thinking of applying for tickets, we are extremely sorry to have to tell you that this will now not be possible.

However, there is no change to BBC One’s live broadcast of our Easter Day Eucharist at 10am on Sunday, April 16. No tickets are required for this service. If you’d like to attend, please be seated by 9.30am."
