A SCHOOL reunion raised around £1,000 for charity in memory of a fellow pupil.

Nearly 100 former pupils of John Kyrle High School attended the reunion at The Royal Hotel in Ross-on-Wye ten years after they left the school.

The money raised went to Michael Cullen Cancer Research Charity, in memory of Leeanne Davies, who passed away age 26 following a battle with cancer.

Leeanne from Ross was a member of the year group who met for the reunion, which was organised by Harriet Smith, Duncan Alston and their team.

Harriet said Leeanne was lovely person and a great friend. She thanked everyone who supported the event, including Leeanne's mum, Jackie.

Paul Deneen, who was one of the teacher guests and one of the former heads of year of the 04/06 year group, said: "I was so pleased that Jackie was able to be with us on the evening and that we were all able to remember Leeanne, who was a wonderful student.

"It was also a huge pleasure to attend this event and meet up with colleagues, as well as students, all of whom were in remarkable form and thoroughly enjoyed their evening."
