POLICE are searching for two teenage suspects after a 'mindless' unprovoked attack last night left a man with minor injuries.

The attack happened between 2am and 2.10am in Old School Lane, Hereford.

The victim, a man in his 50s had been getting into his vehicle when he was approached by two unknown men believed to be in their teens.

One of the suspects kicked the bonnet of the vehicle, before assaulting the victim which resulted in him falling to the ground.

He received injuries to his hand and face that didn't require treatment. The offenders have then left in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is believed to be a teenage boy between 15 or 16 years of age with a tanned completion, around 5ft 8ins with short dark hair.

He was wearing a black jumper; unfortunately no other description of the clothing could be given.

The second suspect is described as a white teenage boy between 15 or 16 years of age, around 5ft 6ins or a large build.

He was described as having light coloured facial hair with short light coloured hair with ringlets. He was wearing a plain hooded jacket; unfortunately no other description of the clothing could be given.

PC Emmanuil Hamilakis of West Mercia Police said: "This appears to be a mindless unprovoked attack on a member of the public; we are urging anyone within the community who may have information that can help identify the mentioned teenage boys, to ensure that we bring them to justice"
