A MAN was taken to hospital after a firework went off in his hand.
Police were called to a property on Whitehorse Street, in the Whitecross area of Hereford, shortly before 9pm on Wednesday night after receiving reports of an explosion.
Officers found a man had been taken to hospital with injuries to his hand as a result of a firework.
An ambulance and area support officer also attended and took the man to Hereford County Hospital.
Police conducted searches in the area that found a number of fireworks, which have now been recovered and made safe.
Nobody else was injured as a result of the incident.
