SHOPPERS in Hereford have demonstrated their generosity by donating 20,994 meals to help feed local people in need.
The donations were made during Tesco’s Summer Neighbourhood Food Collection.
It saw members of the public donate store cupboard staple items such as rice, tea, tinned meat and fish and UHT milk at five Tesco stores in the city.
Tesco will financially top up donations made to the collection by 20%.
