A 48-YEAR-old homeless man has been disqualified from driving for 36 months after being caught drug driving.
Timothy Harris pleaded guilty to driving a car in Sheet Road in Ludlow on May 16 when he had not less than 200mg per litre of blood of benzoylecgonine (a product of cocaine) in his system- the legal limit is 50mg.
Hereford Magistrates Court heard he had previous convictions for drug-related matters and was stopped on May 16 in his car on a separate matter.
In his defence, the court heard Harris was homeless and gave a care of address in Leominster, which is where his mum lives.
He broke up with his wife three months ago and is finding life difficult but he said he is now clean of drugs.
Harris was disqualified from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay a £190 fine, a £30 victim surcharge and £135 costs.
