JESSE Norman has been appointed as the business minister in Theresa May’s new government.
The MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire has been appointed minister for the newly formed Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
He will leave his role as chair of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee.
Mr Norman tweeted:
Very sad to be leaving @CommonsCMS, but honoured and delighted that I have been appointed as a Minister at the new DBEIS.
