LIVE music will soon be streamed across the world from a Hereford pub after it won a national prize.

The Booth Hall, which reopened in December, has been recognised as one of the top three pubs in the country for presenting live music in a competition set up by the music licensing body, PRS.

They won a cash prize of £2,500 which is going to be spent on helping to create a small TV studio with cameras to film the live music events held on The Booth Hall stage.

All events at the pub can then be streamed across the internet.

Landlady Willow Vidal-Hall, 26, said: "I cannot believe that we have managed to win this prize. It shows how far we have come in such a short period of time, and this has only been made possible by the dedication and commitment of so many amazing people who love live music and passionately support the Hereford live music scene and what we are doing at The Booth Hall."

Willow, who runs the pub with her brother, Arran, thanked the local promoters for all of their help.

The Booth Hall will be staging more live music events in the coming weeks from metal to blues, seasoned professionals to college bands, and everything in between.
