ROSS for Refugees continues to raise money and make regular trips to Dunkirk and Calais.

The support group was set up last September in response to the ongoing news coverage of the Syrian refugee crisis.

Moved to do something a small band of people set up the group and have since visited Calais and Dunkirk eight times where they have built shelters, sorted donations and provided general support in the camps.

They have also raised £6,000 which has been used to buy building materials, solar lamps and other much needed items for the camps.

And to continue the fundraising drive on June 11 at 8pm Oxford based folk quintet, Magpie Lane, will be coming to Ross for a one off charity concert at The Venue, Crofts Lane.

All proceeds will go towards Ross for Refugees.

Magpie Lane mix powerful vocals with inventive acoustic arrangements.

Tickets are £10 and are available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/rossforrefugees, The Globetrotter Coffee House and River Music.
