A FOOD and drink festival run by volunteers is gearing up for its third year.

The Yarkhill Field to Fork Festival aims to showcase the best of the produce available in the county.

It takes place on June 4 in the village of Yarkhill to the east of Hereford.

The festival is run by volunteers and raises money each year for a different charity.

This year the event will support Megan Baker House, which provides free conductive education services for children, teenagers and adults with motor disorders such as Cerebral Palsy and Dyspraxia.

To date the festival has raised in excess of £6,000 for charities and community.

Some of the produce available includes cider, beer, meat, cakes, asparagus and scotch eggs.

There will also be family activities, cooking demonstrations for adults and children, live music and tasting opportunities.

Gates open at 11am and tickets are £5 at the gate and £1 for children under the age of 16. There is free parking and more information can be found by visiting www.yarkhillfieldtofork.co.uk

The festival organisers would like to thank sponsors, Brightwells, Freshfields Fruit Ltd, South Hereford Garages and SFC Group.
