A NEW book written by the Dean of Hereford explores the history and modern significance of shrines found in cathedrals and abbeys in England and Wales.
The book traces the importance of the shrines to the saints in the UK’s spiritual life from medieval times and considers how people and church buildings were influenced by shrines in their midst.
Shrines of the Saints in England and Wales, which also features a foreword written by Sir Roy Strong, is to be released on February 26 and is available online at canterburypress.co.uk
