A GROUP of young people took over projects at a counselling charity as part of a national takeover challenge.
Twelve youngsters went to The CLD Trust in Offa Street and took over two projects which focus on improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
They worked with project staff to develop training materials and resources for young peer supporters to use within their schools, colleges and activity groups to help reduce stigma around mental health.
The Children’s Commissioner’s Takeover Challenge was started for children and young people to gain an insight into the adult world and for organisations to benefit from a fresh perspective of their work.
