HEREFORD'S Marks and Spencer store will be one of many locations across the county that will raise a cup to a very special coffee morning.

The High Town shop is taking part in the 25th anniversary of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – and is calling on their customers to join in too.

From September 1, M&S customers will be able to enjoy a host of tasty treats on sale in store with 10 percent of each sale going to Macmillan.

Pradeep Patel, the store manager at M&S Hereford, said: “Macmillan is a cause that is close to many people’s hearts, including many of our employees, which is why we want to make this year’s event our most successful yet.

"It would also be fantastic to be able to raise more funds than ever before to help mark the 25th birthday of the popular World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

“Above all, the event provides a great excuse to gather together with friends, family, or work colleagues, enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake, all in aid of a very worthy cause.”

Chloe Gallagher, Senior Partnership Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, added: “It is a sad fact that one in three of us will get cancer in our lifetime, and it is the toughest fight most of us will ever face.

"The support Macmillan receives from M&S is vital in enabling us to continue to support people affected by cancer, so that no one has to face cancer alone.

“Celebrating the 25th birthday of coffee morning makes this year extra special for all involved and we hope that lots of people across the nation will join us to help make this year’s event the biggest and best ever.”
