A PUBLIC meeting for concerned residents following the latest attack on the Great Western Way is to take place on Thursday.

Police who are investigating the murder of Hereford father, Christian Bagley, and an assault which took place in the early hours of Sunday morning will be attending the meeting at the Kindle Centre at 7pm.

Local police commander, Superintendent Susan Thomas, the local south wye police team and representatives from Herefordshire Council will be in attendance and will answer questions from the public.

It is also an opportunity for information to be passed to police and will provide residents with the chance to discuss latest plans for CCTV on the Great Western Way.

Superintendent Susan Thomas said: "The meeting on Thursday will be a chance for the local community to raise their concerns and have their issues heard by representatives from the police and the council.

"The tragic death of Christian Bagley has understandably caused concern within the community but I would like to reassure the public that the area around the Hunderton Bridge and the Great Western Way remains a focus for local police patrols and the investigation into his death is ongoing.

"The meeting will be a good opportunity for local residents to speak directly to the police and council members in relation to issues which specifically impact them so I urge you all to attend."
