A HEREFORD woman can say she has 'bean' there and done that after completing one charity challenge this week.
Jo Bruton braved a bath full of almost 200 cans of cold baked beans for six hours to raise money for St Michael's Hospice.
She has already raised more than £20,000 for the Herefordshire hospice, having completed a skydive and organised bingo evenings, car boot sales and raffles.
The 43-year-old, who also works for the hospice, told the Hereford Times from her bath of beans: "My dad died in 2011 and although he didn't go to St Michael's Hospice I wanted to support something local that helps people.
"I actually wanted to shave my head but my volunteers wouldn't let me so I decided on a bath of baked beans. It's very cold."
The charity fundraiser took place at St Michael's Hospice shop on Holmer Road, with the cattle feed trough donated by local company Evans Farm and Country Supplies.
The beans were donated by various Hereford supermarkets.
