A GROUP of county students is celebrating after scooping an international film award.
The short film ‘Disconnected’, made by students from The Rural Media Company’s BFI Film Academy , was named winner of the fourth Young Filmmaker International Festival in Brazil.
Rural Media Company artistic director, Adrian Lambert, said: "Getting selected for any film festival is a real achievement.
"Festivals receive hundreds of entries, and so actually getting your film screened, let alone winning, is a huge accolade. Huge congratulations to all the young people involved."
Another of the RMC’s BFI Academy short films Pumpkin was also shortlisted and screened at the Kids for Kids film Festival early this month.
