A WOMAN was released from a car which ended up upside down in a hedge this morning.

Emergency services were called to the junction of the A49 and the A4137, near St Owen’s Cross, at around 12.30pm to reports that a car had left the road and was in a hedge.

A 27-year-old woman was released by fire crews from Ross-on-Wye and treated by paramedics at the scene.

Fortunately, the woman only sustained minor injuries according to police.

Police are asking for any witnesses who saw a red van to call 101.
