WORK is well underway on a £1.25m maths centre at John Kyrle High School.

It is just one of the buildings at the school in Ross in the latest line of developments funded by The Clive Richards Charity.

The Centre of Excellence for Mathematics will have ten well-equipped classrooms, an ICT Suite, a staff room and toilet facilities.

Built Off Site, who recently built the school’s classrooms for geography, RE and a multi-gym and conference centre, invited headteacher Nigel Griffiths and Clive Richards OBE to view its progress.

Mr Griffiths said Mr Richards’ continued support for this latest project and John Kyrle in general over many years was hugely important and much appreciated.

The recent new buildings, the astroturf, the music technology suite and the forthcoming maths centre were all funded by his charity.

He said he took great pride in his ongoing association with the school and its vision for the future.
