ON March 16 the 24 Reception and Year 1 children in Mrs Coxshall’s class at Presteigne Primary School performed their class assembly in front of a large audience of children, staff, governors, friends and family.
The children’s assembly was a way of celebrating the children's excellent topic related work, that they have carried out this spring term.
The performance was themed around their topic ‘Aliens have landed’.
Every child had an individual role to recite, they collectively sang a selection of five songs and retold a story using green screen app technology, which enabled them to become fictional characters and bring the story to life.
The performance was carried out confidently by these young children and was well received with a loud applause.
Then friends and family took the opportunity to visit the children’s classroom, to speak with the teacher and look at the work that the children have on display and in their books.
This was an excellent opportunity to celebrate the children’s efforts, achievements and work.
