TWO Leominster soldiers represented the Army Veterans football side, in the annual Inter Services in Aldershot this week.
Goalkeeper, Warrant Officer Class One Jim Panniers and team Captain, Warrant Officer Class One Ellis Langford both played their part in a convincing 4-0 victory against the Royal Navy.
The ex Minster School pupils and former Leominster Town teammates have now both completed 24 years colour service and reunited in Army colours once more.
The two soldiers last played for the Army Senior representative side against the Royal Navy in 2006, also winning 4-0 on that occasion.
A clean sheet for Panniers and a goal and an assist for Langford ensured victory once more.
The Army are now in pole position to retain the Inter Services and travel to Lilleshaw to play the Royal Air Force.
