LEOMINSTER Community Choir, set up in April 2017 by Annie Wood under the musical direction of Olivia Preye, is a relative newcomer to the music scene in Leominster. Since its inception it has extended a warm welcome to all those in the community who enjoy singing and would like to do so in the company of others.

The choir sings a wide variety of different music styles, including folk and world music, songs from the musicals, jazz and classical, in fact there is something to appeal to everyone.

There are no auditions and there is no need to read music, or any obligation to perform in public as part of the choir.

Practices are held in the Community Centre, Leominster on Tuesday evenings, generally on a weekly basis and with the encouragement of its youthful and inspirational musical director, Liv, even the most timid are put at their ease.

From the start the choir has been keen to support local events, making its first public appearance in December 2017.

You may have seen them welcoming Queen Victoria to Leominster's Victorian Market or singing as part of the carol concert organised by St Michael's Hospice at Lyde Court.
