JACOB and Clive Burton came to a meeting of Ross Rotary Club for Jacob to give a talk about his activities, ambitions and passion for slalom canoeing.
Jacob is a member of Wyedean Canoe Club and Slalom Team and started competing in Division Three of the national league in March 2016.
By October 2016, under the guidance of his coaches Mike and Rose Mitchell he worked his way up the leagues to finish that season in Division One.
This season Jacob's aim is to gain promotion to the Premier Division and has competed in various places, the furthest being in Scotland, a trip he's made twice.
As a result of his excellent presentation and to support him in his canoe slalom ambitions, Ross Rotary Club was pleased to make Jacob a donation of £250 for a new paddle.
Jacob, pictured with president Richard Williams, was delighted and thanked Ross Rotary most sincerely for their donation.
