AN amazing day of family fun was held at Lea Primary School and village hall grounds on July 8.

Truly summery weather brought crowds in to be entertained by many demonstrations and displays, including International Birds of Prey Newent, Fusion Acro Gymnastics, Strawberry Hill Dance Studio and Morris dancers.

There was something for everyone - Traditional games and stalls, rare breed animals, tea tent, dog show by Chase View Vet Clinic, art exhibition, hog roast and Pimms and beer bar, live music, school and local choir, maypole dancing, skittles, grand raffle and much more.

The day was put on by a fantastic collaboration of school parents and staff with Lea Residents Association and wouldn't happen without sponsors and helpers.

Once again organisers have been overwhelmed by support and all donations received from local businesses and individuals, and would like to thank all who in any way made it happen.

It certainly was a memorable day where a community came together to celebrate and have fun while raising funds for children at Lea school and local organisations.
