HEREFORD Tango Club was dissolved in November 2016 and the residual money made by the club over the years was shared with two charities St Michael's Hospice and the Alzheimer's Society Hereford, each receiving £788 each.
Ruth Denison received the cheque on behalf of St Michael's Hospice at the Tango Club's tea dance July 9.
At the presentation she extended an invitation to all club members to visit St Michael's Hospice for afternoon tea and view the new building work.
A further cheque of £788 will be delivered to the Alzheimer's Society Hereford.
Founder members Hilda Wilson, Jim Didlick, Cathy Lusher, Matthew Robinson and Beryl Kirk were all present at the tea dance.
Argentine Tango will continue in Hereford with Catherine Lusher running the Hereford tango events and Jim Didlick running tango club nights. Anyone interested in learning Argentine Tango or attending an event can contact Cathy on 07969091786 or Jim on 07977541446.
