ON Saturday, July 1 there will be a community sponsored walk around Went’s Meadow in Presteigne and a fun day to raise money for a playground picnic shelter.
The town have already been given a frame generously donated by Castle Ring Oak Frame, but need to pay for a concrete base and a roof covering.
Walkers can do their walk anytime between 11am and 4pm. All ages can take part.
Becky Barden said “Get your friends to sponsor you and raise funds while keeping fit” There are prize for the most laps undertaken. Sponsorship forms can be found on the town website, presteigne.org.uk
Also at the event there will be a coconut shy, face painting, hook a duck, lucky dip, and barbecue with lots of fun for all the family.
