ON Easter Monday, the Ross Roadies held their 20th Classic and Vintage Vehicle Road Run at The Yew Tree Inn, Peterstow.
Their special guest this year was the current Ross Carnival Princess and Merton House Rose Queen, Maddie Morgan, who, following a trip out in a 1925 Singer Saloon, courtesy of Alan and Hillary Baker, presented to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, the proceeds of the 2016 events, a contribution of £2300, bringing the total donated to MAAC to £12,300 since their formation.
Over 70 vehicles arrived to take part, and a further figure of around £700 was raised on the day, which will go towards the running total for next year's presentation.
Organisers would like to extend their thanks to all supporters and announce that the next road run, based at The Yew Tree Inn Peterstow, will be on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28. Entry forms and further details from: Colin Davies on 07510 772250 or email rossroadies@hotmail.co.uk
