KNIGHTON Young Farmers and Wales YFC members won all the entertainment competitions at the National Federation of Young Farmers AGM in Torquay.

Knighton won the cheerleading, Llanfyllin the entertainment and Tregynon the street dancing.

Knighton YFC cheerleaders were representing Wales after getting through the first round at their county field day and then the Welsh finals at Builth Wells.

Knighton cheerleaders competed against eight other UK regions and won with 89 points 11 points above their nearest rivals.

The team was coached by Emma Paton of Fuzion Dance and Cheer and club leaders Sally Licence and Diane Gough.

Club leader Lynda Wood who went with the team said "As a club we are so proud of our cheerleaders. The team and coaches all worked so hard to achieve this amazing win. I would also like to thank all our sponsors who helped pay for the coaching and the coach. It was such a special day that our young members with remember for ever".
