CHILDREN from across Hereford and Worcestershire have taken place in the third county wide schools' debating competition organised by Bosbury CE Primary School.
Over 50 children travelled from all corners of the counties to join teams to debate current affairs in the Hereford and Worcester Schools debating competition on March 23.
"For the third year running we have seen incredibly confident children debating articulately around a range of subjects." said Maggie Spence, headteacher of Bosbury Primary School who organised the event. "This is an annual event showcasing the skills of the amazing young people in our schools." She continued.
The competition was won by a team of six children from Eastnor who finally won debating 'should computers replace teachers?' Eastnor fought off stiff competition from St Barnabos, Bosbury, Stanley Road, Great Malvern, Ledbury, Ashperton and Colwall.
The competition was judged by Steve Elsworth Author, Jason Stanton cyber bulling expert and Melanie Baker Malvern Councillor all of whom have years of experience in the debating world.
Melanie said, "It was my absolute pleasure, the children are wonderful and a real credit to the schools and their teachers who have done a fabulous job of teaching and preparing the children. I look forward to being asked again next year."
