ON March 9, the Friends of Master's House in Ledbury celebrated the second anniversary of the opening of the restored building.

Rachel Lambert, the heritage and volunteer co-ordinator provided a birthday cake which was enjoyed by the many visitors who visited the Panelled Room to see the Friends' new website displayed on the big screen.

Also on show was a display about the newly launched Friends' project entitled Joined Up Heritage, which thanks to widespread support from many local groups, including the Ledbury Library Development Group, has attracted a further grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund together with additional funding from Hereford Council, the Ledbury and District Civic Society, The Pippin Trust and Ledbury Town Council.

This new project will run from April 18 for 22 months and Rachel Lambert has been appointed as the new development manager.

The aim of the project is to work side by side with the many wonderful volunteers who look after the main heritage buildings in the town and involve and encourage all volunteering.

The Friends would like to thank everyone who called in to support the event and enjoy cake and coffee.
