BOSBURY CE Primary school children celebrated the Great British Spring clean on March 3 by picking up all the litter in the village.

Class 4 and 5 spent the afternoon searching for and locating a number of bits of litter.

Although at first glance the village looked very clean and tidy on closer examination there were little bits of litter everywhere. It was pouring with rain but the event when ahead anyway.

The school had borrowed 30 litter pickers and all of the children wore high-viz vests for safety.

"Bosbury is such a lovely village. People who live in the village take great care of it. We wanted to reinforce to the children that it's important to help our community and look after our environment" said Maggie Spence, headteacher of Bosbury CE Primary School.

Mr Dunn the deputy head said, "The children were responsible and impressive."
