ON February 25 the audience at Goodrich Village Hall were treated to a night out that was quite simply magic!

The illusionists and magic duo Morgan and West performed their show Parlour Tricks under the Arts Alive banner.

A packed village hall was thoroughly entertained by a succession of tricks and legerdemain from vanishing rings, to playing card tricks and magic circles, boxes and mathematical conundrums and an exploration of the senses that was astonishing.

It was an evening chock full of jaw dropping, brain bursting, gasp eliciting feats of magic.

There were also plenty of eager volunteers from the audience happy to assist the magical duo.

Such was the anticipation that the show sold out three weeks in advance of the performance and 90 villagers and visitors packed out the village hall with eager anticipation for the first Arts Alive event for over two years at Goodrich.

"It was brilliant" said Ken Gort, chairman "the audience loved it and joined in the all the tricks and illusions what a great night out it's just what the village needed."
