PRESIDENT Libby Hughes opened the February meeting of the Old Radnor WI after a break in January when the WI dinner was held at Dunfield House. A super meal was served and a warm welcome was given by Sue, Paul and staff.

The Angela Lloyd Memorial Cup was presented by Arthur Lloyd to Anne Goodwin for the most points at the monthly competitions and Ann Davies was runner up. An enjoyable quiz was arranged and the evening ended with everyone sat around a lovely wood fire with coffee and mince pies.

Once the business was attended to, Kate, from Elaine's Beauty Spot in Knighton was introduced to do a make-up demonstration on Charlotte, a visitor for the evening. Kate went for the natural look giving many tips on how to keep the skin looking good. Moisturising and cleansing are the two main rules as well as keeping brushes clean. Kate showed how all the products should be applied and the latest shades used. Elaine's Beauty Spot do many wedding make overs, getting everyone beautiful for the big day.

Val Burden thanked Kate for an interesting demonstration.

The next meeting will be a cookery demonstration given by Leon of The Salty Dog, Presteigne.
