GRACIE Capel, Year 8 student at Kingstone High School, went to Hereford and Ludlow College to compete in the local heat of the Springboard FutureChef competition recently.
She was up against two older students from Tewkesbury.
Gracie had to prepare a main course and dessert for under £7 for this heat.
Gracie made her own pasta for a woodsman’s pasta and for a dessert she made a chocolate fondant.
As the winner of this heat she will receive mentoring from a local chef and will be competing in the West Midlands Regional Final on February 4 at UCB College, Birmingham.
For the next heat Gracie will need to prepare a main course and dessert for under £10, displaying skills.
Kingstone High School congratulate Gracie on this achievement and wish her all the very best in the next heat.
