ON August 22 the Waterworks Museum in Hereford hosted a visit by a group of vintage machine collectors and steam enthusiasts from Australia and New Zealand who are on a three week tour of heritage sites around the UK.
At the end of the visit the members expressed their thanks to the museum volunteers and their delight at the range of engines and equipment that they were able to see working, including the triple expansion steam engine and the two hot air engines in the collection.
During their last week of the tour they will be visiting Portsmouth dockyard and the SS Great Britain in Bristol.
