STAFF and pupils from John Masefield High School in Ledbury were delighted to learn that they had been selected to receive a grant from the Ledbury Rotary Club Community Chest Project that exists to benefit local community projects.
School librarian Jessica Locke remarked that the award of £450 is to be put towards new books and seating in the library providing an upgrade for students and pupils to enjoy.
She said; "One of the challenges is thinking of innovative ways to use my school budget and now with the help of Rotary, we can purchase the extra items requested by those using the library. We want to express our gratitude to members of Rotary who have worked with our school over many years."
