GRANGE Court launched a new publication on April 12 - a short trail around some of Leominster's timber framed buildings, with an information guide showing how they were built.

Leominster is lucky to have many black and white buildings to admire.

It is hoped that the new guide, designed by Nicolette Baines, will encourage interest in the features that can be seen on the outside and will help Leominster and its timber framed buildings become better known, demonstrating that Leominster is a very special place.

The trail starts at Grange Court and leads to Corn Square, the High Street and Broad Street, before heading back to Grange Court via Drapers' Lane - where weary travellers can rest with coffee, tea and homemade cakes.

The leaflet costs £2.50 and is available at Grange Court and the Tourist Information Centre in Corn Square.

The first printing was sponsored by Border Oak, the Herefordshire business that builds timber framed houses in the local tradition.
