STUDENTS from the Hereford Ballet School got the opportunity to perform on the main stage at The Courtyard on March 19 when competing in the Herefordshire Performing Arts Festival.

There were Lyrical and Acro dances performed by: Elena Boho who danced ‘Little Aslan’, Willow Fedor who danced ‘Time after Time’ and Kristina O’Brien who danced ‘Gonna Shine’.

All the dancers received certificates and high scores. Elena received the medal for her class and was invited to dance at the gala on March 24.

Gail Gorman the adjudicator was delighted with the performances and commended them on their pleasing personalities, lyrical quality and musicality.

She also took the time to mention she was impressed by their professionalism; from their entrances and exits onto stage, to their costumes.

Quite a compliment from someone who has danced professionally with Bluebell, Jose Montez and Briar and works extensively for various television companies.

Hereford Ballet School will be holding an Open Day on Saturday, July 7 in the downstairs Gymnasium at The Point 4.

There will be performances of class dances as well as solos and duets. Prospective students will be able to see the talent within the school and join in taster sessions.

There will also be stalls selling uniform, accessories and baked goods. A fun-filled day for all the family.

If you head over to their Facebook page ‘Hereford Ballet School’ and give them a ‘Like’ you will be able to keep up to date with all the details as they are confirmed.
