AUTHOR Rosamund Young's talk on The Secret Life of Cows was a sell out at the Master's House, Ledbury, with extra chairs being found to accommodate the crowds.
The evening, hosted by the Ledbury Library Development Group (LLDG) working in partnership with the Ledbury Food Group, provided the opportunity to hear Rosamund's story in her own words on how she became a best selling author, now published in several European languages, and her concerns and issues about the countryside.
Rosamund's love of cows and their individual characters was matched by her concerns for sustainable farming practices and high standards of animal welfare.
Her talked concluded with questions ranging from the age of her oldest cow, to how do you reduce the use of non-recyclable plastic in farming.
The audience were delighted to hear she is already planning her next book.
The Ledbury Food Group are planning their next photographic project around cows. Volunteers interested in helping with this should contact them via their website ledburyfoodgroup.org
