PROBUS member Aneurin Thomas celebrated his 97th birthday at the Probus meeting on January 16.

Nye was a well known dentist practising in Broad Street Hereford and many people of Hereford will have known him.

He was a founder member of Probus and his friends provided a cake for the birthday.

Probus is a club for those who have been in business now retired and feel that they wish to maintain contact with others who are like minded.

The club meet each Tuesday at 10am at the Merton Hotel Commercial Road Hereford.

They have a variety of speakers and other events some of which keep the mind active.
