THE Whitton WI annual summer event took place recently at Whitton Hall.
This year it was a cookery demonstration by Sarah Cullen-Jones of the Lychgate cottage tea rooms and deli, Berriew.
She showed everyone how she made a variety of dishes including salmon and cream cheese canapés, salmon puffs, chicken, mushroom and leek bake, roulade and apricot bake well.
At the end of demonstration everyone got the chance to taste her food as they sat down for a three course meal made up of the dishes she had shown everyone how to make. The meal was followed by an amusing after dinner talk by Phil Gayther.
There was also a raffle during the event winners were Pam Mills, Don Mills, Jim Walbran, Jenny Lewis, Annette Jenkins, Gordon May and Peter Hood.
