MORE than 50 Scouts from across the county came together recently for a special award ceremony in Warndon, hosted by Worcester Bosch, in Cotswold Way.

The youngsters officially celebrated achieving their Chief Scouts and Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) awards and were presented with trophies, badges and certificates to celebrate their success.

The Scouts were joined by network members, Explorer Scouts, and the UK Commissioner for Scouting Tim Kid, who came together to celebrate with afternoon tea.

Robert Sidley, Scout Association County Commissioner for Hereford and Worcester, said: "This was a truly inspiring event seeing how hard these young people have worked in their community, had many adventures and learnt skills for life. "Whilst 50 attended the celebration there are many more young people out there who also have achieved though couldn't make it - I say well done to them too."

The 1st Hereford Scout troop have also been celebrating achievements of their young people.

Noah received his Gold Award from Matt Bayley, Team Commissioner.

In the Cub pack, Archie, Heston, William and Liam were all presented with their Chief Scout Silver Awards.

South Marches would like to congratulate them all, and any other young people who have worked hard and achieved their awards.
