EACH year the Moor Park student council have a chosen charity.

This year the students chose to raise money for St Michaels Hospice in Hereford, a local charity providing palliative care for patients and support for families.

Through various fund raising events, including a mud run, a cake bake and a valentine's disco, the pupils of Moor Park raised an incredible £6904.05.

This money will go towards providing a social worker to help children to deal with death in families.

Moor Park is an independent coeducational Prep school based on the edge of Ludlow, taking children from three months to 13 years of age.

The school council comprises pupils from all ages across the Prep school, and acts as a pupil voice.

Overseen by staff, the pupils organise funding events throughout the year.

The main fundraiser this year was the Muddy Mayhem event, where each pupil took part (even the very youngest) in a mud run.

The youngest raced circuits of the assault course, whereas the older children took on the muddiest cross country course yet.

Parts were waist deep in mud, but every child completed it with a smile.

The children who raised the most were crowned the 'Mud Masters' and awarded with a much coveted T-shirt.
