THERE was a good attendance at the meeting of the Hereford and Mid-Wales Philatelic Society on May 3.
The main event of the evening was a display by society member John Symons on the subject of Internal British Airways Airmail.
The display consisted of over 170 sheets of fascinating material together with a very learned discourse concerning an extremely complex subject.
The president Nick Nelson presented John with a certificate to thank him for his display.
The society meets at St Martin's Parish Centre, Ross Road, Hereford at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month.
New members are welcome.
Members of the society collect stamps, post cards and postal history and have several displays each year by visiting speakers. There is ample parking space.
