THE Knighton and District Tourism Group (KDTG) have been introducing their mascot Little Offa to people in Knighton and the surrounding area.

This delightful little chap was developed from their visitknighton.co.uk website logo, both of which were designed by Julia Llewellyn-Roberts.

Little Offa, with a little help from Marje Rickerby and Jo Marsden have started their ongoing task of promoting Knighton and its surrounding area, as a visitor attraction. Little Offa will be out and about describing places to stay, to visit, to eat and to shop in this beautiful part of the country.

This is an effort by the KDTG to bring business to the town and district. He will be highlighting how much there is to do and see in the Welsh Marches, an area somewhat overlooked by Welsh tourist promotions. He will also be illustrating businesses which could attract a wider audience.

Little Offa has his own face book page (Knighton's Little Offa) as well as a link to the visitknighton.co.uk website.

Marje Rickerby said "Please support this effort for the benefit of our town and surrounding area and tell distant friends by 'liking' him on face book. He really is rather a splendid advertisement".
